The Pet Flowbee works great, however it took quite awhile to cut all my dog's fur. She looks like she went to a groomer. She is a small Lhasa Apso breed. The haircut took so long my vacuum actually overheated. I had to stop and wait until it cooled down then I could start cutting again.

This product I thought was useless!! It was imposible to get an even cut. I followed the directions to a tee. They say to use a up and down motion rather than a combing motion to let the hair get sucked into the cutters. WELL guess what it also makes the cuts choppy and uneven. It looks horrible. So I contacted the manufacture as stamped on shipping label, and guess what they charge a 20% restocking fee and return shipping so it is hardly worth the expence of returning. I was very disapointed with this product . They should be ashamed!!! I know that my dog is !!!

I bought this stripping knife to use on my Norfolk Terrier - Norfolk's have 2 coats: a wirey topcoat, and a downy undercoat. That downy undercoat needs to be hand stripped twice a year.

This is the stripping knife used by professionals, and I can see why. It's simple, solid construction is sure to last a lifetime - constructed of one solid metal piece, with no moving or removable parts, and a layer of rubbery plastic (for lack of a better description) on the handle for comfort.

This stripping knife works like a charm. My pup doesn't mind the stripping process at all. This 'knife' (works more like a comb, for those of you who are not familiar with this process yet) pulls the undercoat effortlessly without pulling the topcoat (the undercoat is just dead hair, so it does not irritate the pup when it's being pulled).

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to hand-strip their pooch. Hands down A+.

I got this to use on a cat between groomings. I followed the directions: rub into fur until fur feels damp, brush through, rub with towel. It smells nice and clean, but that's about the best I can say about it. It was a mess. His hair was all sticky and matted even after it dried. This lead to him cleaning himself incessantly all day, which just resulted in more dander. I'm glad it deodorized him, because he needed it, but the extra dander totally offsets that. I definitely won't be buying this again.

Although the Andis is slightly more expensive, I decided to follow their expert recommendation. I am certainly glad I did.

The motor is very quiet compared to the old Oster clippers I had (which, you got it, had begun to break...plastic casing). I love the detachable blades because I clip 2 of my dogs, with different type coats, so I need the option to be able to "quickly" change blades. I also had purchased the attachment combs, but don't like them for the clipping I do. Therefore, I bought additional blades made for specific length coats.

The casing of the unit doesn't get hot at all. I am able to trim both of my dogs without having to take a break to let the unit cool. I trim a Norfolk Terrier, using a 3-1/2 blade (longest blade you can get) and it leaves enough coat on him so he doesn't look scalped yet it is evened out so he doesn't look like a wild wolf. My other dog is an Affenpinscher/Min. Schnauzer mix, so I trim her more like the Min. Schnauzer...using the 10 blade around the muzzle and ears, and for her body I use either the 7 blade in summer or the 5-3/4 blade in winter.

I highly recommend this trimmer. I originally purchased it at a nationally known pet supplies store, on sale. However, I found the price at Amazon.com to be less than the store sale price, so I returned those (new and unused, still in the box of course!!!) and ordered through Amazon.com. You'll be totally amazed at how quiet the motor is...quiet enough that my dogs aren't bothered by it at all. The 2-speeds are nice to have if you need it, but I always use the lower speed...have not found the need to rev it up higher.

Bottom line, great brand trimmer, good quality, quiet, and detachable blades! Also, don't forget...highly recommended brand by several professional dog groomers, so the Andis is long-lasting...should give you years of great clips!

My dog has terrible allergies, I have to wash her every other day (in addition to two antihistamines) or she gets a stinky rash, so I have to use very gentle products. I have tried a lot of different shampoos and conditioners, but after using Solid Gold's Jojoba conditioner, I'll never use anything else. i have had one of these for about 2 years and use it for my beagle/schnauzer mix dogs (1 boy 1 girl) and while they don't like it they tolerate it ok. it leaves the nails so much smoother than clipping alone. i mostly use it after i clip their nails so they are smooth and don't scratch my floors or legs etc when they tend to jump on me and run on my floors. i just got a teacup poodle and plan to try it on her too. the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars it the cord is a pain in this day of everything being cordless. but it it do-able. occasionally the bands do slip, but from what i read they can do that on all of these type nail products. all in all i would buy this again, but wish it was cordless. oh, and it is not too loud. it gets louder on higher speeds, and you have to be careful with this type of thing not to let it get to hot on their nails. I am a professional dog groomer and I have tried many different types of grinders. Yes this product is a little noisy BUT it never dies and it has an adjustment wheel. I can put it on slow for small dogs with tiny nails and I can put it on high for thick nails. I prefer the high setting because I can get any nail done in a shorter time. You have to adjust the screw on top in order to get the sand paper to stay to the grinder but I love it. When this product finally dies (which all grooming tools do when you use them as often as I do) I will ONLY buy this one again.

I have a pup who despises clipping the nails, even though I started at a very young age. She eventually began trying to bite the clippers out of my hand when I would try. The process of clipping the nails turned me angry at her and her afraid and angry with me. I bought this product and the process was instantly better. With a little pile of treats nearby I grind away. It doesn't seem too noisy (of course it makes some noise) and when she gets antsy I give her a treat. I can grind all her nails very short and smooth in about 5-7 minutes. The tool itself is a little awkward and takes some getting used to especially when switching from left to right paws and vice versa. Overall I have gotten very good results and me and my dog are much happier with each other.

Vet diagnosed my dog with a skin yeast infection. Recommended/sold me Malaseb and it worked great! However, ran out and went online to buy some more but nobody has it. The web sites recommended this product as a replacement. I bathed my dog 5 or 6 times with Mal-A-Ket and the infection keeps coming back. Works for a couple days, but I would not recommend.

This clipper is very quiet and lightweight. Be careful not to cut the animal you are clipping with this blade! This blade is supposed to be good for matted horses and I cut too close 2 times and made her bleed. I am also having a difficult time changing the blades. I have been using this product for years on my dogs. They both suffer from allergies and are prone to dry skin and the "itchies" Giving them a bath with this is like taking a Xanax! Dog grooming is expensive and traumatic for our dog. We decided to do it ourselves. This clipper is the enhanced version of the gold standard in clippers for dogs and pretty much all other furry creatures large and small.

Pros: It will go through the thickest undercoat quickly, without slowing or jamming. It is very high quality built. It protects pretty well against clipper cuts on the skin. The cord is long enough to reach the largest dogs. It comes with replaceable motor brushes. There is a screen over the air intakes. It's very easy to clean. Two screws remove the blade and you can clean and lubricate it. The #10 blade it comes with cuts hair very very short.

Cons: It's loud. If your dog has ever been to a groomer before, this sound will likely scare the crap out of him. When I first turned it on, my dog started to tremble, which he never does. This is probably a side of your dog you don't know yet, so proceed cautiously and slowly introduce your dog to the clipper. This one is very important: It gets ridiculously hot. I mean burning hot. DO NOT use this product without getting the Oster Kool Lube 3 - 14 oz. This spray is not a luxury, it's absolutely necessary. It provides instant cooling and lubrication to the very hot blade. If you do not use this spray at least once every 2 minutes, you will most likely burn your dog and get bit in the process. Both issues are handled better with the clipper spray. A properly clean and lubricated blade will be a bit quieter. The only real complaint I have is there is only one blade with the clipper. The blades are expensive. Usually more than twenty dollars. The #10 blade it comes with cuts hair very very short.

Final Thoughts: Despite the glaring problems of being loud and hot, those are easily managed with behavioral conditioning of your dog and the kool lube 3 spray. Those two problems are not serious enough to risk using another clipper. This clipper is it, it's the best you can get and the best at what it does. If you try clipping a dog with a thick undercoat with a regular clipper, it jams every minute or so unless you go very very slow. Check Special Price!

This product works great. If you are in the market for a good set of dog clippers this is the one for you. Dont waste time and money on the cheap ones they dont last. The best part about them is the removable blades. Although the seller I bought from sent them to me on a slow boat from china (Ha Ha) No I did not pay for faster shipping but I thought two weeks was a bit slow. But they work great so who cares

These clippers cut like butter through my scruffy dogs hair and even my poodle mix. They are quite heavy and do get warm but work wonderfully, I hope mine last as long as others who have had them.

Only thing, it wouldn't cut through the tough down shedding hair of my mom's shelty. His hair was just slowing it down, that it was easier with scissors. Also a negative that they don't come with guides and they're pretty expensive and right now amazon doesn't sell them. Oh yeah also if you think the conair's will fit, they don't, tried it and there too chort to clip on.

Other than those draw backs they have been worth the money and I am sure I would of spent this just cutting my 2 dogs hair at a groomer and I think I will have many more years of use with these to save my money and become closer with my pets.

Other reviews said these were good for pet grooming - I should have noticed they all included dogs, not cats. I have 2 Napleons (1/2 munchkin, 1/2 persian) which both have very thick undercoats, and 1 is double-coated. They get mats pretty bad, even with weekly groomings. I bought these to shave through the tough under-coat mats, but they don't even begin to cut through even the smallest of mats! They did cut through non-matted hair reasonably well, but not great in my opinion.
If you're looking for a pair clippers that will do well with cats, keep looking - and let me know if you find any!

I bought every size of the Mason-Pearson Boar Bristle hairbrushes and the detangler brush. I gave one boar-bristle brush as a gift. They are nice. They brush your hair all the way to the scalp! If you wanting to splurge, these are quality hairbrushes. I'm pretty sure there are some quality hairbrushes that are less expensive, but they don't have the 'name' and haven't had the publicity these have had. I was obsessing about buying hairbrushes when I bought mine. I'm over that now and into obsessing about other things, so if you can afford it and really want it, no harm. I have this exact brush, and do NOT believe all the celebrity hype this is getting. I bought this because of a celebrity testimonial stating that she tried so many brushes and this made all the difference, and how it's a quality brush that'll last forever...yeah right.
It has made no difference in my hair. It is no better than any other brush. I also bought the brush they recommend to clean it, and it seems to destroy it. It bends the bristles, so it's extremely difficult to clean, even though I followed their directions to the letter and was very, very gentle.
It's simply not worth it. I believe in paying more for quality and if this was better than an average brush, I wouldn't mind paying so much for it. But it's not.

This Shampoo has been a LIFE SAVER!!! I have a white german shepherd that is allergic to EVERYTHING. He has several food allergies, environmental allergies, and to top it all off he's allergic to humans. We've spent tons at the vet on allergy tests, allergy therapy, special food and pills pills pills. We even bought the vets hypoallerginic shampoo, and he broke out after using it.
Immediately after a bath his skin is less red and irritated, and unlike other shampoos he doesn't get itchy from being washed. Its not a cure all for allergy suffering pups. But it definitly helps our dog and gives some much needed relief. Check Special Price!

Our dog chewed at his upper legs constantly. The hair in these areas would stay matted and damp because he chewed so much. We had tried several products including oral medication from the vet. Nothing worked until we found this. We spray a small amount once a day on the hot spots and that controls the itching/scratching/chewing for 24 hours. When our dog sees the bottle, he rolls over in anticipation. It's inexpensive, easy to use and provides him with almost instantaneous relief. We have had no problem with side effects. It does have a distinctive smell, but we don't find it offensive.

Concerned - M. Sutton -
Ordered for brother's dog & it arrived leaking. Brother got it in his eye but with constant flushing with water he can not get burning under control. Inconvenient. Would appreciate a replacement at no cost & since he is in another state & has health issues I want him to keep the first bottle for the inconvenience. I hope this is fair & would be happy to remove this.

Also with the burning very concerned on reaction on the dog. Will it be ok?

No itch relief - C. Kroemer -
This was recommended to me because my dog suffers year-round itching from dust allergy. After using it 2 different times, I was extremely disappointed with the results. I think the strong smell actually attracted mosquitoes to him, and he had NO relief in his itching. Also caused some flakes on his backside. Won't be using anymore of it.

Have been forced to give my adopted rescue poodle/mix his monthly hair cuts. He was
abused (1 broken leg- 5 fractures - healed on their own - and two new fractures.
He literally screams when I took him to the dog groomer.
He trusts me now and I can groom him without upsetting him.

I now have a set of good grooming scissors - and this is one
that I will use over and over. I tried the standard shears from petco and petsmart
, but they just don't work as well as these Miracle Coat Shears that I have. And they
are cheaper than Petco or Petsmart.

This stuff is not meant for every dog - althought it does work - the smell is ok - but if you have a dog that is skin sensative to products or is flaking, itching this is the product for your dog!
